100 percent pure samples to try and review

I had written this company several months ago asking for samples to try because I have read great reviews on beauty blogs. I must say they were very generous with their samples sizes. I received a very large sample of the caffeine eye cream (which is what i was most interested in) , a very nice size of day cream and a nice sample tube and several one use packetts of different scents of body cream. I was very excited to try this brand. I have to say the eye cream i had heard so much about did not disappoint. It made my eye are feel very smooth and the moisture lasted all day even under my makeup. The day cream had basically the same results. The body creams were lovely and my absorbed into my skin well, with no greasy feeling and the scents smell wonderful. If your not much on scents though, i do not recommend as the scents do stick with you through out most of the day. I may purchase the fullsized eye cream down the road. This brand is fairly reasonably priced and i am really glad to have discovered this brand and i feel it is worth the money.

EBOOST

EBOOST® Natural Energyhttp://www.eboost.com/
Hello Again! So here is a review on a product I received complimentary from Influenster to test and review. It is the Eboost formula that delivers a boost of energy and immunity! At only 5 calories you just pour the powder into 8 oz of water. This one is orange favoured Which is the only flavour I have seen). I love this as a "burst of energy" drink. The effects didnt last as long as I had expected (maybe 2 hours for me). And I like the flavour but It seems to leave a funky after taste. But all and all I like it! It has green tea extract which we all know really does boost metabolism as well as a ton of vitamins! I love the individual packs that I can just throw in my purse and mix with a bottle of water and I am loving that there is no energy crash for me as the effect wears off. It dissolves very well and goes down smoothly. I do recommend Eboost and I will be purchasing for personal use.

LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer

HEY AGAIN!
This is another review on a product I received In my Naturals Voxbox complimentary of Influenster! YAY! I love getting these goody boxes from Influenster to try new products! ANYWAY this is the Lypsyl intense protection lypmoiturizer! The product info says it is long lasting ,has swedish beeswax and organic Shea butter. I have to say I am a lippie junkie and have tried many, many glosses, sticks, moisturizers etc. I am giving this one a thumbs up because it is very moisturizing . The staying power however, IMO is lacking. I do love the minty flavor and the cute little bee that you use to push up the product is too cute! All and all I would say this product is nothing amazing but it is on par with my other favorite brands of chapstick! It does give immediate relief to dry chapped lips however, I had to reapply atleast every 30 mins.

The Original™ Dish Drying Mat

Hello,
ME AGAIN! So here is another product I received in my Naturals Voxbox complimentary from Influenster to try and review. This is the original dish drying mat. I will say when I received this mat I was like oh ok whatever! But in the end I love this mat! The best part is it is machine washable! other great features of this mat include the fact that it is super absorbent and made of strong microfiber. I love this mat and it became very useful for me , especially for things i did not want to wash in the dishwasher. this one was priced at 4.99 at bed bath and beyond, and seems to be well worth the cost. The only downside for me was that having a family of 6 I wished the mat was a big larger in size. The most amazing thing about this mat is that the tag claims it can hold 4 times its weight in water! I thought "yeah right" but I put it to the test and I must say this is a correct statement! This lil mat is awesome!

Cleanwell natural hand sanitizer wipes

Hello!
So this is my review on Cleanwell hand sanitizer wipes! I received clean well complimentary from Influenster in my Naturals Voxbox to try and review! So here is my humble opinion....First off its a hand wipe which for me is not something I personally put alot of thought into so as far as hand wipes go it does work good. The smell is pleasant and its not over drying on my skin. I love Bath and Body works small travel hand sanitizers for the wonderful scents but hey, who knows if any of them actually kill germs! SO again as far as sanitizing wipes go Clean Well is fine. I really do love that they are alcohol free and the packaging is great to throw in your purse for on the go! Will I purchase them? Probably so ! Will I be on the hunt to find This particular brand of wipes? Doubtful! All I can say is it it is a cute little on the go hand wipe that smells good and seems to work fine.
you can find more info on these wipes on Clean Wells website http://www.cleanwelltoday.com/

Parissa face and bikini wax strips

Hello again!
This is my opinion of Parissa wax strips. So I received the Parissa wax strips in my Naturals Voxbox from Influenster to try and review. Sadly I had already used these strips in the past and my opinion is thumbs down. (for whatever that is worth) . The problems with the strips were endless! First of all they come as several strips stuck together as 2 strips , the directions say warm the strip you are going to use between your hands or fingers to warm the wax and pull apart for 2 separate strips. For me even after warming the strips came apart with most of the wax still on one side of the wax strip (the idea is that the strips come apart as 2 even strips for use). Secondly according to the directions you can use the same strip several times in the same removal setting , for me as I tried to use the strip more than once it became tacky and too soft and I ended up with no hair removal and pulling globs of wax off of my skin. These strips worked so horribly for me I had to purchase other brands of strips to make sure I actually knew how to use wax strips and I came to the conclusion that other strips (in fact all the other strips ) I used performed way better for me. Over all I will totally not be purchasing these strips.http://parissa.com/
Tips for use
1.Do a patch test
2.DO NOT clean skin before use
3. warm product
4. separate strips slowly
5. firmly press sticky side down in direction of hair growth
6.Zip off immediately in OPPOSITE direction of hair growth
7. for upper lip keep lips taught over teeth throughout process. work with only 1/2 area at a time, smooth strip on from centre to corner and zip off towards center in one quick motion .
8. for underarm place arm behind head as far back as possible to keep skin tight. Work upper and lower half of underarm separately.
9. For Bikini line make sure to trim hair to one half in. use small strips, stretch skin with one hand and zip off with the other hand.

Kat Von D color shift eyeshadow

on the right is a swatch with the brush slightly wet. left swatch is using a dry brush. Not sure what happened here , when applied to my lids the difference is way more noticeable. (maybe the lighting?)

being a total beauty junkie I am constantly searching for the latest, hottest beauty product. I was really intrigued when I seen this Kat Von D color shift shadow on the Sephora website! I had to have it! At 16 or 18 dollars (cant remember for sure) its not way overly priced as it is a very good sized pan. The object of the shadow is that basically you chose a color (this is the gold color and I think there are 4 colors to choose from) and when you are applying if you wet your brush just a bit the water is what makes the shift effect shift happen. It reflects light in a way that it looks gold and if your head is turned slightly or the light is hitting you a bit different it has a bluish/silverish effect to it. My thoughts are that A. I love it and am planning to order more colors! B. in my opinion it is worth the cost! it is very pigmented and almost has that foil look. If you like the dramatic eye this would be a great shadow! It also held up well and did not crease. very blendable as well. this shadow is at the top of my Von d love list!

Ivory Bar Soap review

This is me using my Ivory bar soap I received from ivory via Influenster in my mombox to test and review. I have to say when I was growing up we used it alot at home but I really havent thought about Ivory in years. I was glad to be reintroduced to it. I love the fact that it is so pure that it floats (99.44%) and that its very inexpensive. Ivory can be used as a face wash, a body wash a makeup brush , is gentle enough to use on tiny ones and although I havent tried it I read you can use it for soap flakes for laundry and you can boil it for liquid soap. I tried it on my face and it left my face soft and not dry. I used It to clean the above brushes and Ivory cleansed my brushes quite well. I think for the price and many uses of Ivory it is well worth the money! It will in fact be a new staple at our house.

Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies

Hello everyone, I wanted to share with everyone a product that I received in my Mombox from Influenster to try and review! This is a Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal cookie and this one was flavored with raisins. Normally I do not like raisins in my cookies but I must say this cookie was rather tasty. It was very soft and they are made with Quaker whole grain Quaker oats, and a good source of fiber ( this flavor has 4 grams) and at only 6 grams of total fat per serving its fairly healthy (Actually alot healthy compared to some other cookies). I love that these cookies are individually packaged and retail at a suggested retail price of $2.69 for a box of 6 cookies so very affordable and convenient for travel! (hello summer!) I have seen these cookies at tons of retailers already so they are very easy to grab on the go ! (sold at most major retailers). this one was consumed by my dog (SHHHHSH! she doesent know she is a dog) and myself. We rather enjoyed it although I must admit I am a self proclaimed cookie monster! (cookieaholic lol) . Since I have tried this flavor I have also tried the chocolate chip as well and it is YUMMY as well! I have seen these cookies around for awhile but never even thought of trying them so I am very glad that I was sent a free one to try because I have found cookie I enjoy that normally I wouldn't have even tried and trust me they are yummy.

My new all time favorite product! you got to try this!

ok usually I dont post rants about products, I try so many and to be honest I am very hard to Impress , few products actually do what they claim and if I find a product I usually find a product I like better and the cycle continues...I read reviews and blogs claiming a product is amazing then rush to get it and Its usually just ok in my humble opinion. Anyway This product called One Love waterless beauty balm was in some peoples Birchbox last month (March) I didnt receive it nor was it something I was really dieying to try. BUT Birchbox talked it up and talked it up and then I seen reviews and rave and people wouldnt stop talking about it so I bit! I wasnt willing to pay the 60 something dollars for the full size for a product I had never even tried so I hit up the Birchbox trade thread. ( amazing btw to try things you want and get rid of samples you have no use for) . I tried and tried but it seemed many people were not willing to trade theirs and everyone else was looking for it as well. long story short I was finally able to trade for a sample and let me tell you....This stuff really is awsome...Multi usage, it cleans, can be used to moisturize And you can mix it with tons of things to make new products! like for example a broken eyeshadow ...just mix a little of this balm with it and its a cream shadow! ( I tried this and thought it would crease but it did not) . and I also mixed it with a powder black eyeshadow to make a gel liner! how cool is that? I have been mixing broken eyeshadows with this stuff then adding a little of other eyeshadows to the same mixture to create a whole new color! I even mixed just a bit with my foundation to make my face so soft! I am sure there are many other possible ways this can be used and I am still having so much fun with it...If you havent tried this you should!

March Beauty Army box!

BA time again! Got my box this morning. Truthfully, I am a bit disappointed in the lack of makeup items lately however, I love that they have been asked about this and the reply seemed very straight forward something like hey were very limited on makeup, hair and nail inventory at this time, we know some are unhappy and we are trying very hard. No excuses no promises. I like it. The girls seems so awesome and the CS is great! Besides on the upside I haven't had to shell out big money for skin are since I joined! BA keeps me in enough skincare samples that I never run out! And their samples are truely deluxe sized. A huge plus! Shipping is very slow for me compared to my other beauty subs but it won't kill me to wait....lol.....so here it is

Be fine night cream....have heard good things, alot of BB subscribers have received this in their boxes in months passed although I have never tried it. Very nice sample size. BABOR anti-stress cream....I really wanted the cleanser but they didn't have it on my selection list so hopefully next month...I have never used any BABOR products but its suppose to be high end and has great reviews, so that's what its all about trying new things. Next is the FX eyeprep never heard of it so we shall see. Next is CellCeuticals photo defense spf 55 . Never tried this either but again, we shall see. Now the M.A.D. anti aging moisturizer. I have heard of this brand. Can't wait to try. And lastly the thing I was really looking forward to trying was the smallest sample (wah) but it is enough to get a good feel for...its the In I Lee facial oil. I have the argan oil by Josie Maran as well as the facial oil Tarte has and this seems to be along the same lines. ( I love my Argan oil especially the bronzing one I have by Josie Mar an as well) this Indi Lee oil seems to be almost identical! So there it is and btw this month my BirchBox was by far the best sub box. Its almost New Beauty testtube time again as well. I can't wait.

My March Glam bag!

OK so this is my 2ed Glam bag I was hooked after seeing the first one when they launched (I think that was in Dec.) I wasn't signed up then but I jumped on the bandwagon right away! The first one had fullsized UD eyeshadow and primer I was like yeees! Sadly though, they have went down hill every since. No fullsized makeup in fact very little makeup at all! They have tons of unhappy customers, in fact I myself rarely visits their FB page anymore BC everyone is unhappy and and complaining! There are folks complaining about folks complaining! MyGlam says they are listening and are striving to make things better we will see. Actually on the upside the shipping did seem to be as scheduled this month. So maybe they will get it together. For me my bag was OK this month nothing amazing but I wouldn't be in a mad frenzy over it. Its just meh really! Each subscriber got one of 3 "or items" 3 lab perfect cleansing foam, Pur-lisse lip comfort or Murad absolute bronzing boost. Alot of people were saying that some got fullsized Pur-lisse while others got deluxe sample sized. Also the cleanser was very generously sized compared to the other 2 "or items". From everything I have read thus far the bags do seem to be a bit "unfair" anyway here is mine!

My "or item" was the Murad absolute bronzing boost. I wanted this item so I was happy (I looove bronzers) I tan my body but not my face so I use alot of bronzers on my face. The sample is very small and all of my excitement went away when I tried it! I don't know if I got a dud or its just the item but it just looked like a very red undertoned foundation to me. I saw no shimmering bronze color like expected. I was very sad BC that was the one product I was excited about!

Next was something called KERACOLOR and it says its a color enhancing leave in treatment. Appreantly its new and if you were one of the first 500 to like their Fb page then you are supposte to get 2 free sample packets. I was like number 86 lol, I haven't received the packets yet.'this one is for all hair colors but for the free samples on fb you got to pick your color. So I know they have it for different hair colors. Appreantly this one is just clear for everyone. I'm interested to try this.

We also got a crease brush and a holder with the Myglam logo on each. Cute but alot of people have stated their magnet that holds it shut doesent work and mine doesent work either. Alot of people have very strong complaints about the smell of the brush and or holder. Mine doesent smell way bad but it does have an offensive odor. Rumor has it they are going to send a brush every month until we have a complete set. I like that idea they are cute but it seems like a very cheap brush to me although I am going to try it first before I say it sucks...lol

Then there is the 2 small sample packets of Murad eye lift and pur-lisse moisturizer....not much to talk about there

There is the bag its self which is cute....although someone on makeuptalk said it looked like "boobs" and now I can't stop seeing them...lol. we also got a coupon for 25 dollars off 50 dollar purchase at Dermstore. Since they have free shipping and gifts with purchase It seems like a very good deal. Especially since I read they have something called Beauty fix surprise where you get 6 or 7 items valued at like 250 for 29.99 some fullsized items in that bundle I'm told.

My March 2012 Birchbox!

YAYYYYYYY! I just got my March BirchBox! I opted in for the TeenVogue BB and I am so glad I did! BB teamed up with TV this month and members had the choice to get their regular BB or the TV picks. I got the FullSized Tarte lip stain in "Amused" it looks very dark pink but is rather sheer. This was what I was most hoping for since there were 4 different TV boxes and this was the highlight of my box. I own several of these but this color is new to me and I wouldn't have tried it otherwise so very pleased!
next was an Essie nail polish in "set in stones" I am not familiar with Essie so I'm not sure if this is full size or not. If its not full size its a very large deluxe sized sample! It is silver glitter chunks and I'm not sure if its for me just yet although it is very pretty.
Next is the Shisedio oil control blotting papers it is 10 sheets and its ok. My skin isn't oily though but I will try them.
Then the infamous BB perfume sample...lol! This is a sample vial and its "petite Cherie" by Annick Goutal. New to me I have waaay to many perfumes as it is but it does smell really nice.
And lastly here is there is hair tie I got one of these in a previous box and although I probably wouldn't spend my money on them its kinda neat to have around.
So that's my March BB and I say this one is GREAT compared to the last several months.....go BB!

My first Glambag

Eye Rock Design liner! from Feb 2012 Birchbox

I got these in my Feb Birchbox.I didnt think I would like them But was eager to try! So Setting around this afternoon with nothing to do I decided to give it a shot! So my personal opinion is that they are kinda cool but way to dramatic to wear for every day. MAYBE for going clubbing. Prehaps for younger folks. For me they were tricky to put on and if you stick them on wrong and try to pull off and reapply they do not stick very well the second time. I have had them on for an hour now and I can still feel them setting there. Feels like I have something heavy on my eyes. So bottom line is I will not be purchasing them but I might recommend them to someone who is looking for a very dramatic look. Im not totally against them, they are just not for me.

My first BeautyArmy kit!

So I finally got my much anticipated first BeautyArmy kit today! For those of you who have not heard of BeautyArmy it is a monthly subscription beauty sampling service , much like Birchbox, only its 12 dollars a month where BB is 10 and unlike BB with BeautyArmy you fill out a beauty profile and they give you samples to choose from! Its up to 6 deluxe sized samples and you pick the ones you want to try. BA launched on Jan 1st and besides some unhappy folks with the meltdown of their site on launch date they seem to have some very happy customers and great customer service. Dont get me wrong I looooove my Birchboxes but I do love picking my own samples especially since the last few Birchboxes were a little disappointing. So I am really excited to be trying BeautyArmy!

I love the box....Its the cutest thing ever!

The thing I am most excited to try is the Sheaterra Organics Rose Hips Black Soap.....It says it is a deep pore facial soap and micro-dermabrasion in a bottle! It smells a little funny and feels a bit well....weird but I have read great reviews about it and I am anxious to try it out!
The next thing is myface cosmetics and it is an eyeshadow Blingtone in the color gilt-y... The color swatched nicely and it is FULL SIZED! The retail on this eyeshadow alone is 20 dollars on their website.
So most of us have heard of JOICO In fact it was one of the few brands on the size I knew well. This sample is the K-Pak Revitaluxe..It seems to be a hair mask of sorts..I have always liked Joico products and I am sure this will be no exception, since my hair is so nappy maybe it will help!

next is a Lift Lab eye cream...small sample but I have read good things about the brand and since my eyes are small it is enough to try for maybe a week . That should be enough to decide if it works or not.

Now on to the StriVectin-EV this one is a brightening serm....I have tried some of the StriVectin products in the passed and although some people think it is a miracle treatment I myself wasnt to impressed. I mean for me the results were just ok. But I havent tried this one and maybe its great stuff! the retail on this stuff is up there so it will have to make my skin look 16 again for me to buy it! lol (fingers crossed)!

And on the Chella eye mask kit! I got this exact one in my NewBeauty Test tube...I used it then and it did make my eyes feel refreshed. I liked it pretty good. I did notice on my BA sample page I was supposte to get an eye cream sample with the kit but I did not. Booo I wanted to try the eye cream. Anyway it seems well worth the 12 bucks. And I dont know how good you could see the picks but the box that they send it in is simply adorable!

So even though I am a total beauty junkie It hit me the other night while surfing the web in search of my next big beauty find that I do not even own 1 MAC product! I couldnt beleive it ! I mean I have every other product known to man and MAC is a very popular brand. So I surfed the web and ebay and realized even though I would like to have atleast a few eye colors I am overwhelmed by the selection. So I was wondering ...are there any MAC junkies out there who could share some of their favorite colors? And what exactly is the difference between the shadows and the pigment colors? They have some very pretty colors I am just not sure I am brave enough to wear some of the really boulder colors...Any thoughts?

My Jan 2012 BirchBox

Whoop Whoop got my BirchBox today! I always look forward to my BirchBoxes.....Not to thrilled with this one though.
I got box 12....it contained Archipelago Pomergranate soap, Smells great but I am not a barsoap person. 2. ORIGINS #1 cleanser (checks and Balance Frothy Face Wash)...Hummmmm idk about this I am willing to try though.3. Stila smudge stick waterproof eyeliner in Lionfish its a bronzy shimmer and altouugh I have tons of eyeliners I think this color is pretty. 4. LARABAR blueberry muffin snack bar.. I tried the choc. chip cookie dough and hated it But this wasnt that bad. oh btw the Stila eyeliner was fullsized which is awsome! I love the BB concept I feel they are missing out on alot of sales though because they seem not to go by the beauty profile that is filled out...ex. I marked in my beauty profile I would be most likely to splurge on hair care and have only received hair caare product once in 7 months, although others have had it in their boxes...for 10 bucks a month though its pretty cool and I do get some new things I have really enjoyed.I have just signed up for Beauty Army and Myglam....Myglam looks great and I am excited to see what my first box will contain in Feb. ohhhh I almost forgot the Juicy sample...I have a full size already..lol It smells good though.
