Kat Von D color shift eyeshadow
on the right is a swatch with the brush slightly wet. left swatch is using a dry brush. Not sure what happened here , when applied to my lids the difference is way more noticeable. (maybe the lighting?)
being a total beauty junkie I am constantly searching for the latest, hottest beauty product. I was really intrigued when I seen this Kat Von D color shift shadow on the Sephora website! I had to have it! At 16 or 18 dollars (cant remember for sure) its not way overly priced as it is a very good sized pan. The object of the shadow is that basically you chose a color (this is the gold color and I think there are 4 colors to choose from) and when you are applying if you wet your brush just a bit the water is what makes the shift effect shift happen. It reflects light in a way that it looks gold and if your head is turned slightly or the light is hitting you a bit different it has a bluish/silverish effect to it. My thoughts are that A. I love it and am planning to order more colors! B. in my opinion it is worth the cost! it is very pigmented and almost has that foil look. If you like the dramatic eye this would be a great shadow! It also held up well and did not crease. very blendable as well. this shadow is at the top of my Von d love list!
